About

Siobhan Klassen is a Partner at Goddard Law. Siobhan has devoted herself to fighting against discrimination throughout her legal career. From representing a Hispanic community from an unlawful eviction in law school and helping transgender highschoolers legally change their names to fighting against powerful companies and individuals who used their positions to sexually assault those around them, Siobhan remains firm in her fight against discrimination and sexual assault. Siobhan has fought against multinational corporations and obtained millions in settlements for her clients. Siobhan has represented clients going up against powerful men who her clients alleged used their positions to sexually assault and manipulate them. Multiple articles have quoted Siobhan’s legal arguments highlighting her legal proficiency and unfaltering resolve in action. Siobhan’s legal work also speaks for itself — Siobhan has advanced legal protections for those seeking justice from discrimination by defeating retaliatory claims of defamation and tortious interference made against her clients for standing up for themselves and expanded the FMLA to provide more protection.

Siobhan’s high-profile cases have been covered extensively by national and local media. Her work on the Adams sexual assault lawsuit has been reported by the New York Post, the New York Daily News, ABC7, CBS New York, NBC New York, and Gothamist, among others. Her representation in the Soteryx case was covered by the Times Union, the Daily Beast, Rolling Stone, and HuffPost.

Siobhan enjoys representing clients with unique or novel claims of discrimination and continues to work to advance anti-discrimination law. Prior to joining Goddard Law PLLC, Siobhan worked in both law firms and not-for-profit firms, including the Gender Equality Law Center, where she focused on impact litigation. Recently, she has focused on sexual assault claims arising from the Adult Survivor’s Act. Before litigating employment discrimination claims, Siobhan was a Fellow of Hofstra Law School’s Access to Justice Incubator, where she represented low-income individuals in a variety of legal claims. Siobhan is a member of the New York chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association and admitted to practice in New York and California.
